Second Order
for the Change of Amateur Radio Regulations
Issued 13 December 2000
In accordance with Section 4 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 and Section 6 Sentence 1 Nr. 4 of the
Amateur Radio Law of 23 June 1997 (Fed. Law Pub. I p.1494) and with Article 56 Paragraph 1
of the applicable compliance law of 18 Mar 1975 (Fed. Law Pub. I p. 705) and the Organization
Regulations of 17 Dec 1997 (Fed. Law Pub. I p. 68) and of 27 Oct 1998 (Fed. Law Pub. I p.
3288) the Federal Minister for Economics and Technology orders the following::
Article 1
The Amateur Radio Regulations of 23 Dec 1997 (Fed. Law Pub.1998-I p. 42), as amended by the
order of 12 Jan 2000 (Fed. Law Pub. I p. 26), are amended as follows:
1. In Section 2, Paragraph 3, sentence 2, the words "31 Dec. 2000" are amended to read "31 Dec.
2001."
2. In Addendum 1, under the section titled "B Test Requirements" the wording in parts 2.1 and
2.2 "a minimum of 12 words (5 characters each) per minute" is amended to read "a minimum of 5
words (5 characters each) per minute."
Article 2
This change becomes effective on its day of publication.
