NCI Board of Directors Election Announcement

In accordance with the Article V of the Constitution and Bylaws of No-Code-International, it his hereby announced to the membership that an Election of Members of the Board of Directors will be held with a two week voting period beginning on April 15, 2000 and closing on April 29, 2000.

The Board of Directors is currently studying the best method of conducting this election, in an effort to balance convenience and ease of voting for the membership with the security and integrity of the balloting process.

Voting by postal mail would probably be the most secure method, but would require considerable expense to mailing ballots to all eligible members, a considerable amount of hand processing of received ballots, and, with the diverse international nature of our membership, would greatly slow the receipt of ballots from many members.

Therefore, we are currently investigating various methods of conducting the balloting via internet e-mail or through a form on the NCI website using some sort of "validation password" which would be sent by e-mail to members eligible to vote in the election in accordance with the bylaws  ("All current members in good standing as of December 31st of the previous year are eligible to vote in an NCI election." Article V, Section B)

If you are eligible to vote in this election please watch your e-mail and also check the NCI website periodically between April 1, 2000 and the April 15, 2000 opening of the voting window (April 15 - April 29, 2000) for further information on candidates and information on exactly how the election process will be conducted.

In the meantime, please follow the following link for information on the "Call for Nominations" and the process of nominating a candidate for the Board of Directors if you are interested in nominating a new candidate for election to the NCI Board of Directors.

73,
Carl R. Stevenson - WA6VSE
